Ribbon - Ayane Yamazaki

Questa mattina mi è arrivato alle orecchie un album molto particolare, sto parlando di Ribbon di Ayane Yamazaki, una giovanissima polistrumentista giapponese, a soli 17 anni ha suonato al Fuji Rock Festival, un evento Rock giapponese dove sono presenti oltre 200 artisti! Sono stato subito incuriosito dalla descrizione dell'album che vede protagonista timbriche pop e chillout accompagnate spesso da una voce.

L'album racchiude sei tracce per un totale di circa 20 minuti di musica, quello che ho apprezzato di più è la differenza di generi che possiamo sentire in questo lavoro, Ribbon (prima traccia) mischia una chillout ad un ritmo soft pop, ho trovato in Ribbon un pop sicuramente molto leggero ma altrettanto studiato, il brano è accompagnato da una dolce voce femminile giapponese che si sposa benissimo con i pad in sottofondo. Melody invece ha un sound decisamente appartenente al un pop moderno mentre Blue (terza traccia) cambia completamente lo spirito dell'album, ricco di sonorità vintage o per meglio dire syntwave mi rimanda a sensazioni allegre e positive, brano perfetto per un fare un viaggio con gli amici. Personalmente la Syntwave è un genere che apprezzo molto, vecchi synt e distorsori sono all'ordine del giorno. Il culmine del album lo troviamo in Sophia (sesta traccia), con timbriche molto rimandati ad una lounge.

Ribbon è un album che racchiude molti generi musicali sintomo delle tante idee presenti in Ayane Yamazaki, artista tanto giovane quanto promettente, un album che non ha paura di spaziare tra diversi generi, lo trovo perfetto da ascoltare durante un bel viaggio in macchina in un giornata soleggiante. This morning a very special album came to my ears, I'm talking about Ribbon by Ayane Yamazaki, a very young Japanese multi-instrumentalist, just 17 years old she played at the Fuji Rock Festival, a Japanese Rock event where over 200 artists play music! I was immediately intrigued by the description of the album which mix up pop and chillout timbres often accompanied by a female voice.

The album contains six tracks for a total of about 20 minutes of music, I liked the difference in genres that we can hear in this work, Ribbon (first track) mixes a chillout to a soft pop rhythm, I found in Ribbon a pop certainly very light but equally studied, the song is accompanied by a sweet Japanese female voice that goes very well with the pads in the background. Melody (second trak) has a sound definitely belonging to a modern pop while Blue (third track) completely changes the spirit of the album, full of vintage sounds or better to say "syntwave" send me back happy and positive sensations, perfect song for a journey with friends. Personally, Syntwave is a genre that I really appreciate, old synts and distortions are on the agenda. The climax of album take close in Sophia (sixth track), with timbres very much referred to a lounge music.

Ribbon is an album that contains many musical genres, a symptom of the many ideas present in Ayane Yamazaki, an artist as young as promising, an album that is not afraid to range between different generes. I find it perfect to listen to during a nice car journey on a sunny day. I recommend listening to everyone, I leave you the spotify link
